Who I am
I'm Hikari Fujii — a food artist and creative director based in Tokyo. It all started during the COVID-19 pandemic, when time at home led me to discover the world of photogenic, wildly imaginative food art created by artists overseas. That encounter was a revelation.
What began in a tiny DIY photography space built from cardboard boxes in my apartment has since grown into a full creative practice. Today, I work primarily with high-end brand receptions and events — leading every step from concept development and menu creation to spatial direction and photo art direction, all under one vision.

段ボールで作った自作撮影スペースから始まったビジネスは、今ではハイブランドのレセプションを中心に、コンセプト設計からメニュー制作、空間演出、撮影ディレクションまでを一貫して手掛けるまでに成長しました。

Journey
During the COVID-19 pandemic, time at home led to a life-changing discovery: overseas food artists creating photogenic, wildly imaginative edible art. Inspired, I built a tiny DIY photography space from cardboard boxes in my apartment and began creating. What started as a creative outlet quickly became the foundation of a business — proving that constraints can be the birthplace of creativity. Launched Hika to Latte® Catering & Design in Tokyo, formalizing a full creative approach: concept design, menu creation, spatial styling, and photo art direction — all as one integrated vision.
Activities expanded across a wide range of projects — from catering for corporate events and private parties, to spatial direction and art direction for high-end brand receptions, as well as food styling for press and editorial work. Every project is approached as a single, unified creative vision.
A deliberate evolution — expanding into edible installations and spatial food art. Capturing seasons, textures, and brand worlds through food; moving beyond the plate to create immersive environments where every element is an intentional piece of the story.
